It is a fundamental condition of your insurance policy that any incident that might give rise to a claim is reported to the insurer as soon as reasonably possible. This includes an incident where you may not feel you are responsible.

Property claims, (out of hours); Many insurers have telephone helplines, details of which are included within your policy document. Should you have to call your insurer directly, it is important that you also advise us of the incident at the next opportunity, so we can protect your interests throughout the life of the claim. You can do this by emailing the claims team or by completing a brief claim form. We will then make contact with you to discuss your situation at the earliest possible opportunity.
In an emergency situation, You are advised to carry out any reasonable temporary repairs that will safeguard your property from further damage. As long as the incident is covered by an insured peril (as outlined by your insurance policy) insurers will consider reimbursement of then reasonable costs incurred as part of the claim.
Motor claims, (out of hours); Our specialist partner auto legal protection services (ALPS) operates our 24/7 claims reporting and assistance line. In the event of a motor incident requiring immediate assistance, please telephone 0330 123 4780 with your vehicle registration number and policy details. ALPS will take full details of the incident and arrange emergency assistance, replacement vehicle as well as providing guidance around how we will progress your claim. Your dedicated claims executive at Thomas Carroll will be notified of the incident on the next working day and will contact you directly to offer any further assistance. During business hours, please contact our team on 0330 123 4780 and your claims executive will work with you and insurers to arrange necessary repairs and progress your claim.
Liability Claims: If an incident has occurred in the course of your business that has resulted in property damage or injury to an employee, customer or member of the public, we recommend that you advise your dedicated claims executive of the details as soon as possible.
