Private Clients Account Executive (Haverfordwest)

We are currently looking to recruit an Account Executive to join our Private Clients team in West Wales.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience gained from within an insurance brokerage or company and ideally will be qualified to Certificate level with the Chartered Insurance Institute or working towards this qualification, but this is not absolutely necessary. The position will be primarily based in West Wales, but with requirements to work in Haverfordwest when required.

Salary dependent on experience.

Summary of Main Responsibilities and Activities

• Development and growth of an account of clients to predetermined targets.
• Represent the company at external and professional functions.
• Interaction with prospects and clients to collect and collate information in respect of new business enquiries, renewals and mid-term adjustments.
• Preparation of presentations and submissions to insurers and suppliers.
• Overseeing the broking of risks to insurers and suppliers.
• Negotiate policy terms, conditions, premium and income.
• Review market results, analyse information gathered and undertake sufficient research, to make suitable insurer and product recommendations and demonstrate competency by explaining the extent of cover.
• Production and presentation of new business quotation and renewal terms.
• Conduct periodic reviews with clients to review their needs.
• Attendance at insurer surveys, meetings with loss adjusters or other service providers to manage the client account.
• Provide advice to clients and prospects on an ongoing basis in respect of current insurance policies and additional insurance products for consideration.
• Arrange cover to comply with the client instructions.
• Process new business, renewal and mid-term adjustments efficiently, effectively and in accordance with FCA and Thomas, Carroll procedures.
• Check all documentation for accuracy before issuing to clients or appropriate parties.
• Review management information and reports as necessary, ensuring that the appropriate action is taken.
• Debt management work to ensure premiums and fees are collected and allocated appropriately and keep line manager informed of any current, potential or perceived problems with bad debts.
• Assist the finance team with any accounting queries, the allocation of cash received and settlement of accounts.
• Maintain accurate client and prospect records.
• Build good working relationships with insurers, clients and prospects.
• Advise line manager of any current, potential or perceived problems with insurer markets or service providers.
• Assist colleagues in the completion of their duties.
• Direct leads to other companies within the Thomas, Carroll Group.
• Undertake and participate in work-related projects as requested.

Placement Manager (Caerphilly)

It will be necessary for the candidate to have previous experience from either an insurance broking or insurance company and ideally be qualified to Diploma level with the Chartered Insurance Institute or working towards this qualification.

Summary of Main Responsibilities and Activities

• Assist the Account Executives, Account Directors and TCB Directors to manage placement of new business and remarketed renewals into market.
• Assist with developing the team knowledge of wider products to support client growth.
• Review management information and reports as necessary, ensuring that the appropriate action is taken.
• Maintain knowledge of appropriate insurance markets and keep placement team and broking team advised.
• Regular meetings with Account Executives, Account Directors, Account Brokers and Account Managers to create and maintain pipeline of risks to be marketed.
• Advise line manager of any current, potential or perceived problems with insurer markets or service providers.
• Preparation of presentations and submissions to insurers and suppliers.
• Negotiate policy terms, conditions, premium and income, including use of eTrade markets.
• Review market results, analyse information gathered and undertake sufficient research to make suitable insurer and product recommendations and demonstrate competency by explaining the extent of cover.
• Production and preparation of market response reports to Account Executives, Account Directors, Account Brokers and Account Managers.
• Manage market placement in line with Head of Broking and Broking Director instructions.
• Build good working relationships with insurers, clients and prospects.
• Identify new insurer markets as required to meet placement needs.
• Check all documentation for accuracy before issuing to Account Executives, Account Directors, Account Brokers and Account Managers.
• Assist the Account Executives, Account Directors, Account Brokers and Account Managers on renewal negotiations or placement problems as they arise.
• Maintain accurate client and prospect records.
• Assist colleagues in the completion of their duties.
• Direct leads to other companies within the Thomas, Carroll Group.
• Undertake and participate in work-related projects as requested.

Claims Executive (Caerphilly)

We are currently looking to recruit a Claims Executive to join our team in Caerphilly.

The ideal candidate will have previous claims handling experience gained from within an insurance brokerage or company and will be qualified to Certificate level with the Chartered Insurance Institute or working towards this qualification.

Summary of main responsibilities and activities:

• Assist clients with claims and cover enquiries and submit claims to insurers within timescales, ensuring that the claim comes to a satisfactory conclusion, efficiently and within TC procedures – with responsibility for both commercial and private clients.

• Responsible for checking the validity of claims before submission to insurers.

• Ensure that all required documentation is made available for the speedily resolution of the claim.

• Negotiate interim payments with loss adjusters and insurers as appropriate.

• Ensure claims estimates and reserves are up to date and reviewed periodically with insurers.

• Preparation of claims reports to executives, clients and insurers.

• Review management information and reports as necessary, ensuring that the appropriate action is taken by the broking team.

• Maintain accurate client and prospect records.

• Build good working relationships with insurers, clients and prospects.

• Assist colleagues in the completion of their duties.

• Direct leads to other companies within the Thomas, Carroll Group.

• Undertake and participate in work-related projects as requested.
