Employers have a legal obligation to provide health and safety information to their workforce and must either:
- display the official HSE Health and Safety Law poster, in a prominent position, where your workers can easily read it; or
- provide each worker with the equivalent Health and Safety Law leaflet
The poster, which must be displayed on all business premisses, explains health and safety laws while listing what employers and their workers should do.
The HSE produce a range of Health and Safety Law products, so you can select the most appropriate one for your organisation, including:
- an electronic version of the Health and Safety Law leaflet
- a hard-copy of the Health and Safety Law poster
The HSE also provides Health and Safety Law pocket cards, which are a legal alternative to the poster and are easy to distribute for your workers to carry.
