We are delighted to announce that three members of the Thomas Carroll team have recently received awards recognising their hard work and achievements in the insurance industry.
Firstly, our Financial Manager, Sarah Edwards was awarded the UNA Achievement Award at the 2018 UNA Conference this month. This is what Sarah thought of her win:
“To be nominated was a lovely thought, but to win was such a surprise. Knowing your work colleagues have confidence in you and your ability makes the hard work worth it. It’s a great feeling to know that you are supported and respected by your peers.”
On the same night, our Head of Legal Indemnities, Sarah Jones took home the UNA Best Newcomer Achievement Award. She said:
“I’m delighted to have won, especially when up against candidates of such a strong calibre. It’s been a record year for Legal Indemnities and I’m pleased to have been recognised for my achievements thus far and very thankful for the support and opportunities Thomas Carroll have given me. The move to insurance has been a great one for me and I’m excited to build on this year’s successes in 2019.”
Fast-forward a week to the Chartered Insurance Institute dinner and our Cyber Insurance Executive, Emma Buckley was named the CII Young Achiever 2018. Emma was also presented with her Advanced Diploma in Insurance on the night by CII Vice President, Grant Scott. This is what Emma had to say:
“After completing and submitting my final assignment to the CII I was so happy to get my results confirming that I had passed and achieved my ACII and chartered status. As if this wasn’t exciting enough, shortly afterwards, I received the exciting news that I had been nominated for CII Swansea and West Wales Young Broker of the Year for achieving chartered status and because of my role as cyber insurance executive.
I attended the Chartered Insurance Institute dinner with colleagues and other business partners and was surprised when they called out my name saying I had won. What a great honour to not only have been nominated but to also win. All the late nights writing assignments suddenly all seemed worth it.”
Everyone at Thomas Carroll would like to say a big congratulations and well done to Sarah Edwards, Sarah Jones and Emma Buckley. We are proud of your achievements and wish you every success in your futures.
